Pontins Natal was established as a Pty Ltd Company in 1979 and subsequently changed to a CC in 1998. We are one of the leading companies in the field of Earthing & Lightning Protection aimed at the Industrial, Commercial and Domestic markets.

We currently work countrywide and our client base includes Growthpoint Properties, SAB, Illovo Sugar, Natal Portland Cement, Nestle, Afrisam, Nampak, National Brands, Nestle, Apollo Tyres (formerly Dunlop), Diageo (Brandhouse), Toyota SA and Umgeni Water. We have ongoing maintenance and new projects at Toyota SA Ltd. We have recently undertaken all the maintenance and earthing upgrades at Richards Bay Coal Terminal and completed the Earthing and Lightning Protection on their new Substation.

We have undertaken many provincial hospitals, schools, clinics etc (eg King George V Hospital, Edendale Hospital & Laverna Hospital (Ladysmith), Addington Hospital , Abaqulusi Hospital Vryheid, Shallcross Primary School, Suleman Patel School, and Lungisisa Indlela School but to name a few.

We have successfully completed many Hospitals & Shopping Centres throughout the province including the Pavilion, La Lucia Mall, Shelly Beach Centre, Liberty Midlands Mall PMB, Melmoth Shopping Centre, Watercrest Mall, Bluff Pick ‘n Pay Centre, Melomed Private Hospital in Richards Bay, Life Hilton & Gateway Private Hospital, Hibiscus Hospital in Port

We carry out Annual Earth Resistance Testing & Inspections.

We design, supply and install earth mats for Substations and Mini subs as well as structural protection on same.

We also supply and install many ranges of Lightning Masts (from 2m-26m) mainly to Thatch Premises or highly flammable/explosive areas all over the country. We have installed many masts in the Eastern Cape as well as high risk areas such as the Drakensberg and the Midlands area.
